What Causes Abdominal Pain And Bloating With History Of Liver Enlargement?
I m a 48 yr old 5 9 250lb female. I ve been experiencing severe abdominal pain. I had an ultrasound done. The results were a significantly enlarged liver which measures 19.2 cm. My liver function test came back normal. my physician wasn t alarmed. she recommended an upper GI to check for ulcers due to my symptoms. my symptoms are abdominal pain, burning sensation, extreme fullness even after small meals but no evidence of blood in my stoool.could it be normal for me to have such an enlarged liver do to my weight without there being serious liver disease?
The enlargement of liver may be in concern with fatty infiltration with normal enzyme levels. The liver biopsy is essential tool for the diagnosis in this regard. However, functional dyspepsia with motility disorders are best measures to be evaluated in this matter before approaching for the differential diagnosis.
