What Causes Abdominal Pain And Bumps On The Stomach?

Hello Dr, I started having pain on my side 2 days ago, which then spread to my stomach. NOT BAD continuous pain, only once in a while. I don t have the FLU symptoms either - just feeling a bit under the weather. This morning I noticed 3 little bumps on my tummy. Could this be Shingles? I had Shingles vaccine in Oct. 2014. I had Chicken Pox at age 40. I will see my PCP on Monday, but I would appreciate your opinion. Thank you! Pat Tj.

Hello,

Shingles is a possibility.

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If lesion spreads, consult a physician and start on antiviral drugs.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
