What Causes Abdominal Pain And Dark Spots On The Colon?

I Have been having abdominal pain on my right side for three years now. I ve been to the emergency room several times now, and have been checked for appendicitis about 5 times. Tests came back normal no appendicitis, but my white cell count is always extremely elevated. Last time it was at 22, it is always in that range when I go in experiencing pain. Last time I went a ct scan with contrast was done and the doctor told me he saw dark spots on either my colon or intestines, I can t remember which. All this said, colon cancer is my biggest fear. I haven t had the money to go to the doctor although I hope to be able to soon. Is there anything this could be besides cancer? I m only 26 and I m terrified at this point.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest you consult a gastroenterologist for colon biopsy from black spots.

Black spots do not always suggest cancer but it has to be ruled out by biopsy testing.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
