What Causes Abdominal Pain And Diarrhea After Restarting Fluoxetine?
My 14 year old son has been on fluoxetine since he was 12 for OCD. This past year we slowly weaned him off it it. He to 1/2 of a 10 pill every other day in the end until june when he stopped taking it completely. About two weeks ago he asked to restart. So I made an appointment with the Dr. and she agreed that he could start taking 10 again. We started off with 1/2 a pill a day. Today he said since he started taking the medicine again his stomach hurts really bad under his navel sometimes for a short time and that it started when he started taking the medicine. He also said he has been having diareah since he started the medication. He would like to stop taking the medicine. Do you think it is really the medicine that is bothering him?
