Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Abdominal Pain And Diarrhea In An Infant?
My 2 year old daughter had two runny bowel movements. One yesterday and one today. She complained of abdominal pain just before. There was white foam in the second one. She seems to have normal energy but did ask me to carry her this afternoon and said she was tired. She had 2 bowel movements yesterday and two today. The first one on both days was normal but the second shortly afterwards was the one with diarhea on both ocassions. No vomiting or fever.
Pain in the lower left abdomen is commonly caused by a digestive condition like constipation or gas.
In this case, it is probably a gas relates symptom. I suggest using simethicone medication three tablets a day for the bloating. I also recommend using daily probiotics.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
