What Causes Abdominal Pain And Diarrhea While On Oxycodone?
I have been taking Oxycodone and now hydrocodone for chronic back pain for 6 months. Now I’m having lower right abdomen pain, diahhria and losing weight(70 lbs) since May.Not much of a appetite either with some stomach pain.Had a ultrasound for gall bladder with no stones shown.Appendix scan negative as well. What is going on with my digestive system?Any ideas? Also having calf pain.Possible DVT?Please help...Kurt
Yes sir, DVT is a side effect of Oxycodone. So you can get examined by a local surgeon for it. He may do some physical tests and dropper ultrasound. you should take it seriously. Both these drugs cause gastrointestinal irritation and thus upset. Consult your prescribing Physician for replacement such as Etoricoxib or other NSAIDs along with some PPI inhibitors.
Thank you for the query. Hope this clarifies your concerns.
Take care
