What Causes Abdominal Pain And Diarrhea While Suffering From IBS?

Hello. I usually have ibs with constipation. Friday night I started having severe abdominal pain shortly after I ate. Then diarrhea. It has been constant since then and getting worse even though I haven t been eating or drinking much. t happens whenever I put anything into my system, no matter what it is. Thought It may be a touch of the flu, with the chills and weakness after going to the bathroom, but it has been over 3 days and I still can t keep anything in. it runs right through me about 1/2 hr after I ingest anything.

Hello,

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
