What Causes Abdominal Pain And Difficulty In Urinating?

I went to ER twice this week abdominal pain and I couldn t pee. They thought I had kidney stones after x-ray ruled it out. I still can t pee they catherized me but now feels it s a GI problem. Well yes I keep gas, bloating, digestion issues, what does that have to do with you not being able to pee?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello! Welcome to HealthcareMagic!

I understand your concern. There are many causes of your situation. It can be due to an infection in bladder, in the urethra or pelvis. I suggest you to do some examinations such as:

1) A blood test.
2) An ultrasound.
3) An urine-analysis.
4) A CT scan in case is necessary. This way it will be easier to determine the cause.

Hope my answer was helpful. If you have any other question, Ill be glad to help.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
