What Causes Abdominal Pain And Gastritis During Third Trimester Of Pregnancy?
I m 38 weeks pregnant. I ve Been up for over an hour now, she s constantly moving and I m confusing her moving with contractions. I m hydrated, I did take a good hot shower to try calming her down. But she still hasn t and it s beginning to really hurting. I also keep having gas and more heart burn, constantly having to pee. My lower abdominal started to hurt as well
Gastritis during pregnancy is common due to more Progesterone production to support pregnancy, as a result, the muscle relaxes & bloating, flatulence & discomfort occurs.
Take a small amount of food multiple times a day, avoid food that causes gas or to which you are allergic. Stay well hydrated, take food & berries.
Increased fetal movement is a sign of acute fetal distress( due to cord complications, increased FHS, etc).
Visit ER, get clinically assessed by a gynae, you may have to get USG done to detect fetal well being.
Your treatment will depend on the clinical findings & report of the USG.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
