What Causes Abdominal Pain And Swelling?

My daughter was complaining of tummy ache, her tummy was swollen and har dup under the rib cage, I rushed her to emergency she did a big wee and it emptied and they discovered a urinary tract infection. She s been on antibiotics for 5 days, (Keflex) and it happened again yesterday she held her wee until the tummy swelled and she was in pain. Why?
