Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been experiencing pain in my abdomen for over 48 hours. I have nausea and have thrown up once. I taken Victoza every day. I have also experienced blood in my urine once and it has been dark since. I have an appointment with my gynecologist on Tuesday. What should I do?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
1)please meet your doctor who has prescribed victoza and inform about your complaints, as these are the side effects o the drugs Not all develop the side effects , but some do and you may be one of them.If the side effects are more please get your tablet changed 2)victoza itself causes some of the symptoms you have mentioned like upper abdominal pain and nausea and vomiting and indeed causes dehydration which results in high colored urine. 3)you need to take lots of water when you re taking victoza .
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
