What Causes Abdominal Pain, Excessive Sweating And Dizziness?
My son is 10 years old and has painful stomac aches. When they start he gets flushed and his skin becomes sweaty and he says he feels dizzy. I took him to a peds gastroenterologist and they tested his feces and found nothing. He said it was possibly ibs and prescribed hom hyosciamine. This medicine dies help him. I would like to know if there are any other tests we can do to narrow down what this is because he has been gettimg these off and on for 5 years noe. The pains are getting more frequent lately, he has gotten twice this week already, whereas, he was getting them an average of about 2 per month. Please let me know what we can do to find out was is causing him so much pain. Thank you

Hello, The most common cause of abdominal pain is indigestion, food poisoning, an infestation of roundworms, IBS, Appendicitis, Liver dysfunction, etc. You are suggested to give him only homemade food, do not give packaged or food from outside. Get connected to a GP & pediatrician, if required de-worm. Give him antacids for relieve. Investigations that you can go for are: 1. Urinalysis / Stool test. 2. CBC 3. Amylase/ Lipase 4. Liver function tests 5.CT/ MRI/ Rectal exam / 6. EGD / KUB/ USG After clinical examination, any pathology detected will be further assessed & investigated to detect the cause of the discomfort.
