What Causes Abdominal Pain, Fever And Vaginal Bleeding After Menstruation?
Hi, I have recently had a fever, lower abdominal pain, aches, nausea and was treated with antibiotics. It appeared to help for a bit. Had my menstral cycle two weeks ago, now its back with dark brown blood. I have had an ultrasound, ct scan and waiting for colonoscopy. I have abdominal pain all over and a fever of 38.4 presently with aches. This is preventing me from keeping my very active lifestyle. Should I visit the ER today or wait to see what the colonoscopy shows in when I have it in four day?
You are currently being treated for abdominal pain, and fever with antibiotics. If the pain is unbearable you can go to ER, otherwise just continue the current medications and wait for colonoscopy.
For the moment, I can advise to: - drink plenty of fluids especially plain water with oral rehydration salts to replace lost fluids - take probiotics to stabilize intestinal flora - take magnesium and B6 supplement to ease the cramps
Wish fast recovery. Dr.Albana Sejdini
