It started with abdominal pain on Friday afternoon. By Friday evening, there was explosive diarrhea and vomiting. By around midnight I experienced chills which I associated with a fever. These last two symptoms did not last very long. On Saturday I rested and drank a bit of Gaterade and beef consomme. The vomiting subsided on Saturday afternoon, but the diarrhea persists. At present, I feel weak and have been able to take fluids and light solid foods. Finally, my question. Could this be Listeriosis? I don t drink nor do I use drugs and am, apart from this incident, in good health.
