What Causes Abdominal Pain, Memory Loss And Severe Headache After Stopping Alcohol Consumption?

Hello, I recently opted to stop drinking on my own, however I have been feeling very fatigued, abdominal pains and severe headaches with some memory loss. Should I continue this on my own, is what I am experiencing normal. I also have had a gastric bypass, my colon removed, Fibromyalgia, restless leg syndrome and an anxiety depressive disorder. For the last 5 days I have been unable to function normally and afraid I may lose my job. Thank you, Sherri Haddix

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is a good initiative to stop taking alcohol. You should continue not taking it not even a single drink. Drink tea, coffee or fruit juices instead. Keep a healthy diet and exercising and have rest from work if it is necessary.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
