What Causes Abdominal Pain On The Right Side After An Appendectomy?
I am having pain in lower right side. I had appendectomy previously. Pain seemed to start with tweaking mr back making the bed and trying to move the mattress. After a couple of days, the pain moved toward the front. Pain is the same with all positions.
i totally understand your concerns about your health. the following points should be taken into consideration: 1- are you a female? because the etiologies are sometimes different in a female patient and always we have to rule out any ovarian pathology such as a ruptured cyst, ovarian torsion, ectopic pregnany. an ultrasound is used to detect these pathologies. 2- this pain might be due to a kidney stone, hence first a urine analysis is beneficial to detect red blood cells in urine, an ultrasound of right kidney or even better a ct scan without contrast can make the diagnosis if that is the reason. 3- muskeloskelet pain is also a possibility, the pain in this case will be only muscular and can be detected on superficial palpation.
overall a treatment with NSAIDs such as profenid is helpful decrease the pain, protects the kidney in case of kidney stone, help the muscles relax , and finally will ease the pain of less serious ovarian pathologies such stable ruptured cyst.
best regards
