Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
One night I experience a intensifying pain om my upper right portion of my abdomen and the pain extended to my back between my shoulder blades. Eventually, the pain went away until the next afternoon when It happened again. I noticed that my skin and the whites of my eyes had a yellowish tinge to them and eventually the yellowish tinge got worse. I later developed a high fever with chills. Do you know what possible condition I may have?
I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.
The pain you experienced on upper quadrant of the abdomen radiating on your back is suggesting gallbladder problems (sludge or stones) or a possible inflammation or infection of your liver.
The yellow skin and eye white part is confirming these diagnosis. Furthermore the chills and fever are suggesting hepatitis.
Immediate consultation with gastroenterologist and lab tests are highly recommended (complete blood count, liver function test, urine analysis, abdominal ultrasound).
If cannot manage to see GI specialist, then I highly recommend to go to ER as soon as possible.
Wish fast recovery.
