What Causes Abdominal Pain, Sweating And Weakness?

Last night I had severe abdominal cramping, sweating, weakness with 1 BM. It lasted approximately 30-40 minutes with me lying in the floor, and with light cramping the rest of the night. This has only happened one other time about 2 years ago. What could it be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to some food-related toxins and if resolved spontaneously or is not associated with altered GI or bowel movements, like diarrhea or constipation may need to be treated with OTC analgesics like acetaminophen alongwith antispasmodics like drotavarine or mebeveramine.

However, if the problem persists, taking a baseline ultrasound and abdominal examination is recommended.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
