Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Abdominal Pain, Vomiting And Frequent Menstruation?
I m karlo, my wife is feeling in abdominal pain and she had period twice this month and the Doctors tested but, he said she has typhoid, Ulcer and Bacteria and she was given Levobact- 500 but still vomiting and having alot of pain. what advice can you give me?
I am not aware how typhoid was diagnosed. Usually we will get fever> 5 days, along with abdominal pain and anorexia in typhoid fever, which need to be confirmed with a blood count, Widal test and blood culture. After starting treatment, it will take 3-5 days to start feeling symptomatic relief in typhoid.
You can wait for the said period. I used to give Paracetamol / mefanamic acid along with dicyclomine to relieve abdominal pain. If symptoms not getting down in 3-5 days, we may need to change the antibiotic or revise the diagnosis depending on clinical assessment.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
