What Causes Abdominal Pain While Suffering From A Hiatal Hernia?

I just came from seeing a surgeon and was told that I have a hiatus hernia. I have been having pain on the right side of my stomach since I had my gallbladder removed. Thought I had a hernia but was told after a cat scan that I did not. He told me that I did have a hiatus hernia but it was on the opposite side of my stomach and was not causing my pain on the right side. He had no advice what to do next. What do you think I should do now? Is the Hiatus hernia anything to be concerned about?

Hi

Greetings from HealthcareMagic!

Pain or acidic symptoms after gall bladder removal is not uncommon. Usually gets relieved with antacids. But further investigations should be carried out to rule out any stone in the common bile duct or any other problems. Hiatus hernia usually does not cause such pain.
