What Causes Abdominal Pain While Suffering From Lynch Syndrome?
I have been diagnosed with Lynch Syndrome - I don t know if that matters or not. I was given an abdominal sonogram afte complaining of pain. The results show a dilated pancreatic duct and the dr ordered an abdominal MRI with and without contrast. What do you think it could be? Thank you
If the abdominal sonogram showed dilated pancreatic duct, this means that the normal pathway for the flowing of pancreatic secretions is obstructed. It could be due to pancreatitis (pancreas inflammation/infection); or neoplasms (tumors). Abdominal MRI will determine the right cause. This will help determining further treatment.
Wish fast recovery.
