OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

It is usual to have pain after insertion for few days but it keeps on decreasing and on and off. Take pain killer for that. If pain is acute and severe then have USG as it can be due to many reason related to IUD or unrelated. Check for thread of IUD, to see if it is in place.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Richa Agarwal, OBGYN
