What Causes Abdominal Pain?

My husband has been having stomach pain - cramping. He is hungry, but can t eat his normal. He feels better after he eats but the cramps don t go away 100%. He can have a normal day and work, sleep, there are no bathroom issues. I believe he has a stomach ulcer, he drinks power aids, but recently changed to an all-Natural Apple Juice instead. This is the only thing that he has changed recently. No fever, but feels like the onset of a flu. We recently moved to Denver, so I would say he is also having issues with altitude illness but has not been medically diagnosed with it.

Hi,

According to your chief complaint that pain subsides on testing indicates the possibility of ulcer in duodenum which is relieved on taking foods and worsens on empty stomach.

As a preventive measure stop any painkiller if he is taking and avoid coffee, cold drinks and beverages. If he is smoker ask him to stop it and avoid foods which cause acidity.

Get Lansoprazole. If pain continues then take her to the emergency room for necessary investigations.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
