Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my son is 29and vvery active and thin healthy life style. He has been suffering for over 3 years with dull ache and abdominal pains. He has consulted specialists and had ultra sounds and colonoscopy etc and still cannot find what is the cause of pain. I think it is a food intolerance and suggested he make a food diet journal. He is in san diego and maybe the water quality is bad, what do you think. He is also stressed with work.
Hello. Food may be a problem for him. I feel he also has chronic gastritis which is causing the problem. Prevention is the main strategy. He needs to follow some lifestyle tips
1. Do not eat spicy food 2. Take medications for gastritis- pantop/omez/rantac 3. Take little food at frequent intervals. Breakfast around 8am, small snack at 11am, lunch at 1pm, small snack at 4pm and dinner at 8pm 4. Drink plenty of water 5. Do not smoke, take alcohol or tobacco and even excess of coffee and tea 6. Do not take much of stress. Stress aggravates gastritis 7. Do regular exercise. Atleast half an hour per day 8. Learn meditation techniques 9. Follow this regularly for 21 days. It is said that anything you practice regularly for 21 days becomes a habit
