What Causes Abdominal Pain?

Have been having pain in my stomach for a long time now (over a year) but no insurance. I had a colonoscopy (previous diverticulitis) but everything looked good. I m a healthy 47 year old female otherwise. 5ft 6in, 129 pounds so not overweight. I have chronic pain in my abdominal area and can feel a hard knot type mass in there that causes bloating and discomfort. Feels like a rock sitting in my stomach most of the time. No blood in stool or urine, no vomiting, no food allergies that I know of. It does also cause pelvic pain when it feels more inflamed. Any ideas or thoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You have mentioned hard mass feeling in the abdominal area. Hence, any cancerous growth if present should be ruled out. Your ultrasound abdomen scan or barium X-ray done for primary work up and if needed. So cause has to be ruled out and accordingly, treatment is done. Consult gastroenterologist for examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
