What Causes Abdominal Pressure While Suffering From Multiple Sclerosis?
My husband has MS but not active, he had car accident a year ago and has complained of trouble that he feels like has to go to the bathroom and can t spends a lot of time in bathroom and now says feels pressure all the time and is uncomfortable we don t know if he should see Urologist or who he should he see
First of all it's sad to know what your husband had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to muscles spasticity which is part of MS course of clinical symptoms. But careful examination needs to be done to rule out any local pathology. Using baclofen or tizanidine may be helpful.
Bladder palpation to rule out obstruction or urinary retention is also a must and catheterization may be needed in such case. Ultrasound abdomen and pelvis may be needed as well.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin,
