What Causes Abdominal Spasms Along With Dizziness And Weakness?
So today I had severe stomach contraction that wen up to my chest. I was dizzy and weak. It lasted about 25 minutes as it gradually came on. This is not the first time and have had this episode six months ago. and then also mont prior. I have had a CT of my abdomen and pelvis, gastric emptying study, endoscopy colonoscopy and blood test. Nothing specific has been found. But that my stomach does not empty completely within 4 hours. I have seen a nutritionist, gone on a FODMAT diet, and limited certain foods along the way. I have no specific allergies. I don t even want to go to ER because I feel Ill just be sent home without an answer. Any suggestions? I am 61 post menopause. Dulce Diaz
There are a couple of things that you could do at this point since you have gone through so much as is. Undertake a cardiac consultation to evaluate you for arrhythmia. Additionally, ask a neuro to evaluate you for a vasovagal attack.
It is possible that the delayed gastric emptying precipitates an over stimulation of the vagus nerve that causes your heart to slow down. This could explain your dizziness and weakness.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
