What Causes Abdominal Swelling After A Deep Bruise Caused Due To An Injury?

I was in a car accident a couple of months ago. Where the seat belt rested across my hips and stomach was deeply bruised. At first this whole line from hip to hip was very hard to the touch. Now that it is healing, I notice that the right side (just above my waist line) is starting to bulge out, while the left side remains flat. What does this sound like?

Hi,

If this is the injury due to seat belt and that caused the bruises on abdomen along with the superficial injury internal injury also need to be ruled out particularly formation of internal bleeding, and soft tissue injury. And to make it sure clinical examination and imaging tests are necessary, till the bed rest and anti-inflammatory are necessary, applying ice would be benefitted, such case demands the medical attention.
