Abdominal pain after childbirth is commonly due to the shrinkage of the uterus to its normal size. Breastfeeding causes the release of oxytocin & hence contraction of the uterus or constipation.
Take a high fiber diet & laxatives before bedtime. Stay well hydrated. Take antacids if gas is forming.
However, you are suggested to visit your gynae & get a follow-up examination done to rule out any developing pathology.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
