What Causes Abdominal Swelling With Pain And Shortness Of Breath?
My partners got upper swollen stomach sharp pain shortness of breath which causes chest pain his stomach and sides seems swollen and also has reguaur coughing fits whitch can cause him to vomit he also said he felt differently in the down stairs department . Any active please . Thank you
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history about your friend and understood your concerns. The most probable cause can be lower lobe pneumonia, pleuritis, fracture ribs or stomach ulcer may be with perforation. I would advise him the following: First of all get an EKG to rule out any cardiac problems to be on safer side. Get an X-ray of the chest and abdomen in standing position to see for gas under diaphragm to rule out any perforation. Clinical evaluation and examination to get a probable diagnosis so that further management can be planned. Take him to ER to get the things done faster to get an early diagnosis.
