What Causes Abnormal Bowel Movements After Colonoscopy?
i am 69 yr old male in seemingly healthy condition. i had a colonoscopy 2+ yrs ago that was deemed by the surgeon to be normal w/no noticeable polyps. in recent months my stool has been in ribbon-shaped strips (not real thin but thinner than "normal") rather than previously more rounded shape. also there are days when i have 2 or 3 bowel movements, all of which have a sense of urgency to them. in that Medicare only pays for colonoscopies once every 10 years, i am not predisposed to paying for one out-of-pocket. comments/advice please.
