Hi,
Utrogestan cap are used as part of
hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for the menopause in women who still have their womb. They are prescribed to be taken along side estrogen based HRT to oppose the effect of the estrogen on the womb lining. Utrogestan is a soft capsule that is to be inserted deep into the vagina. It contains the natural female hormone, Progesterone. Utrogestan is for women who need extra progesterone while undergoing family treatment.
Some women experience side effects initially which can include erratic vaginal bleeding,
abdominal pain or discomfort and breast tenderness. Bleeding may be intermittent or continual and can last for the first 3-6 months. Utrogestan can cause spotting or break through bleeding between two periods,
irregular vaginal bleeding,
vaginal discharge, vaginal discharges, easily bruising or bleeding, delayed
wound healing, your period may become early, delayed, absent, scanty, prolonged or heavy etc.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
