Hello,

You are experiencing menstrual bleeding post intercourse. You had sex for the first time after that you started to bleed. It is normal to bleed after sex if it your first time or if it has been awhile since your last sexual experience. Sometimes, when the hymen is not completely broken you may experience spotting or bleeding post intercourse for the second time as well. No worries. Many women suffer from light bleeding after sex.

For now this is nothing to worry about, it is often due to using contraceptive method / device that interferes with the hormone levels. However, bleeding after intercourse can also be caused by trauma (abrasion, cut, tear) to the vagina due to rough sex, cervical polyp, a symptom of a sexually transmitted disease, or a cervical polyp.

If your symptoms last longer than a month, make an appointment with your primary care physician or gynecologist and get clinically examined to rule out fibroid or endometriosis. Avoid rough sex, always ensure you are wet before penetrative intercourse to reduce the frequency of hurt due to friction rub. Stay away from addictions if any. Always perform safe sex and avoid multiple partners.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,

The bleeding one gets with first (or first few) intercourses is due to breaking of thin skin to (Hymen) that closes vaginal orifice. The second bleeding can be your regular period. This may stop and would be followed by regular routine periods. Please observe it carefully. Keep the part clean and dry. Consult your gynecologist for repeated, profuse bleeding.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
