I ve had abnormal menstrual bleeding in between periods. Spotting and very heavy during menstruation. I ve been diagnosed with endometriosis however I have severe bloating in the abdomen and painful to the touch. Also have had pain in my right leg for several days. Are these symptoms of endometriosis or something else
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. Abnormal menstrual bleeding what you are having is due to endometriosis. If you have bloating of abdomen and is painful to touch, you must be also having 'pelvic inflammatory disease'. Pain in the legs could be due to associated iron and calcium deficiency. You may require dilatation and curretage (D & C) procedure done after getting your hormonal levels namely FSH, LH & Prolactin levels checked to restore endometrium to normal. In case you have pelvic inflammation, you need to treated with a course of antibiotics and analgesics as well. You would also require iron and calcium supplementation as it could be lost due to heavy bleeding. Kindly consult Gynecologist in this regard for proper evaluation and management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
