What Causes Abnormal Mucosa When Diagnosed With Ovarian Cancer?

I just had a colonoscopy besides hemorrhoids there were no polyps. He said there was some thickening of the wall of the signify colon. He stated I have abnormal sigmoid mucosa which he biopsies. I have a hx of ovarian cancer dx 2011 with 2 recurrences. What could this abnormality? Possibility of another recurrence?

It is not related to ovarian cancer. It could be inflammatory causes or diverticulitis. We can wait for biopsy report to make a diagnosis.
