What Causes Abnormal Sensations In Body, Cold And Excessive Sweating?

I just had an infection that developped in a lymphagitis on sunday. I was put on antibiotic first directly in the vein (wich a receive 3 doses) then been on pills antibiotic since tuesday. The red line from the lymphagitis as disapear since my second dose of iv antibio. The thing is, I ve been feeling weird since. No big shivers and no fever, but I feel like i m falling sick. I ve since developped feelings like a cold. I sweat a lot and sometimes feel cold. I feel like I m developping a flu. My question is, should i go to ER? I m kind of afraid this could turn in a blood infection. I should mention also that 6 years ago, when I was 26, I had zona. Don t know if it helps.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted the history about Lymphangitis, flu like symptoms, chills and so on, on antibiotic treatment.
Your history is suggestive of the following:
Lymphangitis spreads easily as bacterimia and septicemia hence all the symptoms.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Request your Doctor for regular follow up tests of blood, have culture and sensitivity of blood as this will give the chance to have antibiotic of choice to get a cure.
You may have to take a long course of an antibiotic, watch for the original cause and get this too treated well.
Take bed rest for proper healing.
Tke probiotics, multivitamins and so on for proper early recovery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
