What Causes Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding Post Removal Of A Cervical Polyp?

I had a cervical polyp removed 3 days ago. I had lite bleeding the day of, a little heavier the next day and now I am bleeding very heavily. I decided to use a tampon along with a pad tonight after the first pad had to be changed only 1 1/2 hours, now I have bled through the tampon in 2 hours. Is this normal bleeding? I shouldn t start my period for several more days but this seems like period flow or heavier.

It is quite common after polyp removal and will settle by itself.
No definite treatment is required. You can take drugs like tranexemic acid for symptomatic relief.
