What Causes Abnormal Vaginal Discharge Post Implantation Of Implanon?
I m on my 2nd implanon since November 2014 I ve never had a period since starting on the implanon(may 2012) but now all of a sudden i have started getting brown mucus discharge (best i can say is it looks like old blood). I am really concerned that my implanon may not be working correctly and i may not be protected from possible pregnancy.

Hi,
Implanon is a progesteron group of hormone containing contraceptive. It has a known side effect of irregular bleeding / spotting patterns, especially in the beginning, after an implant is fitted. Such vaginal discharge does not create any problem in contraception.
