What Causes Abnormal Vaginal Discharge Post Miscarriage?

I had a miscarriage at home on April 2nd and have been bleeding up to this point (April 26th) but the blood has turned almost milky with a pinkish color along with random harsh cramping. My boyfriend and I have not had intercourse and I ve been taking a multitude of vitamins I ve been on for years to try to keep my body healthy. I m also severely anemic. What could be causing the change in coloration?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
The vaginal bleeding you have described is probably due to infection and you may need surgical evacuation or systemic antibiotic for management of infections. To avoid serious complication such as hypotension & disseminated intravascular coagulation and for management of your severe anemia you must consult an obstetrician at the earliest.
