What Causes Abnormal Vaginal Discharge Post Usage Of Nur-Isterate Contraceptive?
I use nuristarate as contraception, ever since i started using it i ve notice dat every month a brownish fluid comes out through my private part...now my concern is maybe theres something wrong with me...is it normal to have such fluids coming through or shoud i consult doctor?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Nur-Isterate is depot progestogen used as hormonalcontraception. Relatively frequent side effects noted are menstrual cycle disturbances in the form of spotting, breakthrough bleeding and short duration amenorrhoea. The brownish fluid coming out could be due to the side effect of the use of contraceptive. It is recommended that regular gynecological examinations should be carried out as a precaution during the use of Nur-Isterate. Hence, it would be better for you to consult Gynecologist in this regard and get examined to make sure that the problem you are facing is not due to any other cause. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
