General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Nur-Isterate is depot progestogen used as hormonal contraception.
Relatively frequent side effects noted are menstrual cycle disturbances in the form of spotting, breakthrough bleeding and short duration amenorrhoea. The brownish fluid coming out could be due to the side effect of the use of contraceptive.
It is recommended that regular gynecological examinations should be carried out as a precaution during the use of Nur-Isterate.
Hence, it would be better for you to consult Gynecologist in this regard and get examined to make sure that the problem you are facing is not due to any other cause.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
