What Causes Abnormal Weight Gain And Recurring Lower Abdominal Pain?
Hi. I ve had severe lower abdominal pain at varying times since October and have been experiencing them moreso since January as well as chest pains. This has also come with 22-pound weight gain in the past 2 months. I ve had blood tests come back negative as well as stool sample come back negative. I ve also had a pelvic exam come back negative. I continue to gain weight and have major lower abdominal pains and chest pains and it is getting increasingly frustrating.
I think you should do the following test: serum amylase, abdominal ultrasound. I am suspecting you have a malignant tumor. Consult your doctor with your your reports.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Chibitam Obia, General & Family Physician
