Hi my boyfriend has this rash on his penis but it isn t a normal rash. It looks like it s been rubbed raw and has opened wounds around the head of it. It will go away and only reoccur after intercourse. There is no discharge or anything jus says it hurts cuz it s open wounds so I looked up stds and nothing but one called chancroid even comes close?? Does this sound right? What can we do?
Thanks for posting this question on HCM! As per the findings given in your case, I am of the opinion that your boy friend is suffering from a sexually transmitted disease known as Chancroid. Kindly consult a dermatologist/venereologist for proper assessment and treatment for your boyfriend. Since you had sexual relations with him you are also advised to be examined by the same doctor and treated accordingly. Chancroid can be treated effectively with several antibiotics. Chancroid is one of the genital ulcer diseases associated with an increased risk of transmission of (HIV), the cause of AIDS. So, be advised about its risk and complications. Take care.
