What Causes Abrasion On The Inner Buttocks?

I have an abrasion on my inner butt cheek. It's a small circle and raw. I've tried hydrogen peroxide, corn starch, neosporin and zinc oxide. Nothing seems to heal it. It seemed like a cut and the skin peeled off and it's been raw for a few days. How do I help it scan in such a moist area?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of abrasion on the inner buttocks which seems to be due to inflammation of hair follicles leading to folliculitis which is a bacterial infection. It could be due to clogging of skin pores by dead bacteria and sebum. Need not to worry. You should wear loose clothes and avoid sharing clothes with anyone. I would suggest you to start with application of betnovate two to three times a day. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined. Start treatment after proper examination. You can go for proper antibiotic course. You should wash maintain proper hygiene and dryness of area. Apply topical antibacterial ointment such as Mupirocin 2%.
