What Causes Abscesses On The Labia Majora?

I have abscesses on my labia major. I have not had these before. I went to the Gynocologist who made a small cut and drained the abscesses on my right labia the best he could. He put me on antibiotics and the first one I had went away. Days after I stopped the antibiotics a different one appeared on my left labia! I went in as fast as I could get an appointment. Dr was amazed...same treatment for the second one...cut, drained, antibiotics. Oh and the first abscess i had returned. The dr was aware of this. What can I do to avoid this and what causes these very painful condition? Thank you!
