What Causes Absence Of Period Along With Abdominal Cramps?

For awhile now, I have not had a period, but I have not been sexually active in years. I often feel cramps, or an uncomfortably full in my bladder, often before I need to use the restroom. No pain killers help, and I ve been listless and tired. What could be going on?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Absence of periods with tiredness and frequency of urination indicate pelvic inflammation with urinary tract infection most likely. Primary guidelines:
- More liquids intake
- Cranberry sachets
- Urinary alkaliser as citro soda or chewable vitamin C tablets
- Vaginal hygiene
- Dicyclomine or mefenamic acid tablet prescription from your GP

Discuss the need of necessary lab test as complete blood counts, urine microscopy with or without ultrasound of the abdomen & pelvis for further directions of cure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
