Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I always have irregular periods..i went to doctor also the did all the check up and it was noirmal...my periods gap used to be of one year and the six months earlier but now i got my perids for the month of june and august...then n for the september monthi didnt got my periods..yesterday i fainted and went for check up..doctor said i have low bp ..and high fever...so can you please suggest me a medecine to makemy periods regular..?
I would like to suggest some Tests: 1. Lower Abdomen USG 2. Serum Ferritin 3. Complete Blood Count 4. Thyroid Function Tests (T3, T4, TSH)
There is a need to know why there is high fever and low BP. So, I suggested Complete Blood Count. I also suggest when there will be next period. On Day 2 of bleeding, you should do these tests: 1. Serum Estrogen and Progesterone 2. Serum FSH, LH
For now, you should take Paracetamol and Moxifloxacin. Eat healthy foods rich in vitamins. Do not drink coffee, alcohol, etc. If you are obese, please decrease your body weight. Do some light exercises. Do not exercise during your bleeding days.
Any doctor can follow you up and start progesterone regimen. After the regimen, you will find your period to be regular. We also should see if there is any problem with your reproductive system. If nay, we should treat it appropriately.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
