What Causes Accumulation Of Phlegm In Throat While On Lisinopril?
Hi Doctor I take 20mg of Lisinopril in the morning and take lanzsoprazole in the evening 30mg and have a lot of flem stuck in my throat and white saliva it s not moving it make me cough and may voice in the evening starts cracking and feel a bit wheezy.
Hello As you stated that , you are taking anti hypertensive ace inhibitors i.e. lisinopril 20 mg in the morning , while lansoprazole in the evening ( for acidity ) . The main side effect of lisinopril is cough , respiratory tract infection , rash , headache etc. In your case phlegm in the throat may be the side effect of lisinopril or due to bronchoconstriction ( as you mentioned that there is wheezing ). So this is post nasal discharge , bothering you . So either consult your physician or wait for sometime till lisinopril adjust in body . Good luck.
