Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Acid Reflux Along With Chest Pain And Dizziness?
I have the following symptoms and would like to know if they are heart related or what else would give me these symptoms. Heartburn, pressure and burning pain in chest, dizziness. I do have asthma which has been under control, and inhalers do not help the symptoms I am now having. IAbout a month ago I had several tests performed by my cardiologist. They found two small leakages from valves. Everything else was normal. What do you advise?
I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.
Heartburn, pressure and burning pain in chest are due to acid reflux. Treatment you are taking for asthma might aggravate acid reflux. Upper endoscopy to confirm diagnosis. Start taking antacid and PPIs (e.g omeprazole) to ease the symptoms.
Avoid caffeinated drinks, oily/fried foods, spicy/chilly foods. Do not lay down immediately after eating. Have your dinner at least 4 hours before going to bed.
With regards to two small leakages from valves, I need to have a look at the exams you run to see how small they were found.
If doctor did not prescribed any medication, then, they are not the cause to your actual symptoms.
Wish fast recovery. Dr.Albana Sejdini General Physician
