Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband is experiencing heartburn that is affecting his asthma. He is also experiencing some chest pain with this. We do not want to go to the ER needlessly. My question is, could this possibly be a heart-attack? While I was typing this question, he said the pain is starting to go away.
Chest pain and heart burn could be due to acidity/acid reflux, myocardial infraction, peluritis. I would suggest to consult primary care physician as early as possible and undergo ECG, chest X ray, CK, CK-MB, troponin test to rule our lung and heart problem.Meanwhile you can take Tablet rantac, Tablet diclofenac. Avoid stress, drink plenty of water, avoid spicy, fatty, oily food. Take small frequent meal rather than large meal. Other treatment depend on specific cause.
Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.
Best regards, Dr. Sagar
