I am a 38 yr old male and recently have been getting acne around my facial hair line, mainly around my chin and also large deep cysts on my midline back, it seems to be getting worse. My doctor has given me cipro and doxycycline but it seems to go away and then come back, I am in perfect health other than this painful acne

My Dear

You seem to be having Acne of either late onset or the ones that have not yet gone. You may use Isotretinion under medical supervision as this is definitely going to help you. Before going for this medication, please get your LFT and Lipid Profile done to assess whether you are a suitable candidate for the same or not. In addition, maintain frequent washing and practice good hygiene and also apply Clindamycin cream at least two times a day. as far as Ciprofloxacin and Doxyxycline are concerned , the latter is effective only in few cases and that too of milder variety. I hope you will be better off soon.
